Relay For Life – Jefferson County

We are incredibly excited to be partnering with Relay For Life in the Denver area! Our first event was at Jefferson County High School where we got to photograph a wonderful group of kids, families, and survivors.

The event began with an opening ceremony in the gym. All of the participants gathered to watch an inspiring video from a slam poet who had beaten cancer. Then, each of the students organizing the relay spoke about their stories and what drew them to RFL.

After the opening ceremony, the relay kicked off with the survivor lap. The survivors led the rest of the participants through the first lap inside the high school, and out onto the field. After that the survivors headed over to their own survivor dinner where we provided free family photos.

Outside, the participants began their relay which would go late into the night. The air was filled with a hopeful energy as kids and families walked around the track, played field games, and collected lap beads for every lap they made.

Working at this event was such a wonderful experience, and we are very excited to continue providing our services for Relay For Life!
